                             Titanium Ore Coveyor

The Delaware & Hudson began construction of this ore yard at North Creek in late 1941 to handle shipments of titanium ore from National Lead's mine.  The first shipments came here in July of 1942 and continued until the railroad line was completed in June of 1944.
The yard had four tracks at 900 feet long with a capacity for 32 cars and a total of 1,600 tons of ore per day.
This conveyor building went over the tracks and remained in place until around 1980.  Remnants of the steel siding and some concrete footings still remain.
