Clingman Residence Near Station Two houses were built in the late 1800's in the narrow land between the railroad tracks and the Hudson River. The Clingman house to the north was also next to the Route 8 bridge. It is named after Charles Clingman, the long time agent at the Riverside station. He even had a telegraph line to the house for after hours calls. The house was removed in 1978. c.1900 1924 |
