Vega Triumphal Trumpet |

The Vega Company Model: Triumphal In late 1929, Vega announced their new Triumphal model trumpet; a streamlined design similar to the Conn New Era model that was introduced in 1928. Within a few years, most major makers had their own version of this. The Triumphal model was made until 1932 when they changed to the Advanced Triumphal design. I picked up this example with its original case and mouthpiece and a little worse for wear. All there except for two finger buttons so I replaced the remaining one with a matched set that was very close to the original. All of these streamlined designs of the period went to bottom springs in order to keep the valve casings as short as possible. Here it is after restoration and before assembly. It just needed some bell work and light dent removal. The advertising shows an unusual design for adjusting the third slide so I used some vintage parts to create this. "MB" is for medium bore
