This is a Bb/A cornet made by Brua Keefer in Williamsport, PA c.1912. This was advertised as being for parts or repair and that the valves were stuck so I took my chances and picked it up for a good price. I could see that it had a wonderful engraving under the tarnish and that some of it was gold plated.
It ended up turning out better than I expected with the valves only needing a good cleaning and the body a thorough hand polishing. After a little dent work and re-assembly it now works great and has a good sound. This is Keefer's "Highest Grade" model and came with a case and many accessories.

It came with two gold plated Keefer mouthpieces and two sets of slides for high and low pitch.
